This is the Mozan Horse Racing Numerology System.

This is the original description for the little orange book, which is now available as an easy to use software program that will do all the calculations for you.

Many of you who have attempted to apply the system will know of its complexity, with this is mind the program does not need any instructions to use, because it only requires the name of the race, the date, and the names of the runners to then calculate what it thinks(according to Mozan system rules) will be the most probable winner of the race.

The software can also be used to give predictions for outcomes of other sports so is not limited to just horse racing.


Hmm interesting...today we tested the Mozan Numerology system at the Arkansas Derby, which just went off. The choice....Lawyer Ron. Even though he paid $3.00 to win - nonetheless this crazy numerology (i'm slowly believing) picked that winner out of 14 other horses by his name alone.

Here's how the system works (basically):

According to Mozan he believed "gambling" was evil. BUT only because "gambling" is just that - taking a shot. He said if a person has an edge and good knowledge that his/her money is not being thrown away willy nilly on a hope and a prayer - that is not evil.

I guess in his vernacular when he says "evil" he can also mean stupid. Or pissing away your money when you should know better.

In his system he gives 4 lists of ways to choose certain numbers. First you must do a number run on the Name of the Race. In today's instance we did a numerology excercise for the word: Arkansas Derby. This came out to a value of 1. In his system you mark this V.P.

Let me start over - What you do is take the most important numbers in order and figure them out BEFORE doing the horses names. In order of importance you have

D.V (day value) today was 4

F.N.H. (Full Number of Horses) today was 4

I.D. (Total of the First letter of all horse's first names) today was 9

V.P. (value of plate/name of race) today was 1

Then you figure all the horses names and their value (position number + total of name)

Then there's a spread sheet where you need to take the VH and Number of the Horse - then you scroll down and see if the horse (in order of importance) matches the spread sheet numbers with their Name Value and VH - In this sampling only 2 horses matched (actually there are 4 sets of numbers to match against) Lawyer Ron matched 2 sets of numbers 4-9 and 4-1....Nob Hill Deelite matched 4-9.

The pick? Lawyer Ron. Now you may say - well yeah I could have just played the favorite and it would have been a lot easier.

My answer. Then go out and play all the favorites and see how long your bankroll lasts. So ignorant statements aside - this is pretty spooky.

How can you, simply by using numbers, even know who the heck the favorite is? And moreso a good one that can win as easily as that?

In all it takes a freaking long time to do 1 race...if you're GOOD, about 20 minutes.
But I'd say this thing is interesting and works quite well.

I'm going to run 2-3 races for tomorrow and put the picks up later tonight. Let's see what happens.

Whether you buy a new or used vehicle, fuel efficiency--good gas mileage--is high on the list of most buyers' concerns. The difference between choosing a fuel-efficient car or one that guzzles gas, will either save or cost you money over the life of the vehicle, which could be substantial. Fuel efficiency varies widely from one car to the next. Obviously you can check the EPA rating for city/highway MPG on the window sticker, although most of us know the average car never reaches those numbers.

You can also check consumer guides, car magazines and Web sites, Web site forums or ask friends, relatives and co-workers which vehicles they recommend as fuel-efficient cars. Don't buy more car than you need, as larger vehicles generally have bigger engines that are less fuel-efficient. Find the most fuel-efficient car in the size group you're interested in, whether a two-seater, compact, mid-sized, SUV or pickup truck. There are several online sites where you can compare fuel consumption ratings of any car.

Your choice of transmission can also affect the fuel efficiency of the vehicle. Generally, a car with manual transmission is a more fuel-efficient car than one with automatic-assuming you shift properly. And a manual with overdrive, tachometer or shift indicator is the biggest fuel saver, saving up to 10% on fuel costs. If you do buy an automatic, which makes more sense for larger cars, the more gears the better.

Under normal driving conditions, smaller engines offer better fuel efficiency and economy than larger ones. All other things being equal, the larger engine and the more cylinders it has, the more fuel it consumes. Additionally, cars with smaller engines usually cost less and gas costs are lower because you don't need higher octane gas. That doesn't mean a bigger engine is never a good choice. In some cases, a larger, more powerful engine may provide the greater fuel efficiency. If you use your vehicle for work or often tow heavy loads, a smaller engine could burn more fuel if it has to work too hard and function beyond its most fuel-efficient range.

Depending on the type and size of motor vehicle you purchase, you may have the choice of front-wheel, rear-wheel, four-wheel or all-wheel drive. The majority of passenger cars and minivans have front-wheel drive, a design that supplies better traction and more interior room than rear-wheel drive. Although front-wheel drive was originally adopted to improve fuel economy over rear-wheel drive by reducing the weight and size of cars without giving up driving performance or interior space, there's really not much difference in fuel efficiency between the two.

And although four-wheel and all-wheel drive provide better traction and braking in certain driving conditions, the weight and friction of the additional drivetrain parts may increase fuel consumption by up to 10% over a two-wheel drive vehicle. Most often in SUVs and pickup trucks, four-wheel drive is enabled at will by the driver when additional traction is necessary. All-wheel drive is an option on some SUVs and a minority of passenger cars. Full-time all-wheel drive, however, makes for the least fuel-efficient car, because all four wheels are always being driven, drawing power from the engine and thus using more gas.

Another way to be a fuel saver, is by limiting the options you select for your car. You may not have realized that many conveniences from power windows, seats and mirrors to air conditioning and seat warmers decrease fuel efficiency and cost you more in fuel consumption. They add either weight, increase aerodynamic drag or pull extra power from the engine or through the alternator. Aluminium wheels are one of the few options that actually reduce weight and thereby increase fuel efficiency.

Obviously, considering other fuel options such as a hybrid electric car, is another choice for a fuel-efficient car.

I get this question more than any other and I kinda find it insulting. I think the question implies that if you had my exact equipment, you would be able to take the same photos. It is simply not the case. For the record I shoot with a Nikon D300 an SB 800 flash and the cheapest zoom lens I can find. I tend to break a lens every few months so I stick to kit lenses for event work. People ask me about my settings a lot too. I change the settings nearly every time I take a photo. I am clearly not an unbelievable photographer, but I do know how to use a camera. If you don't have an innate sense of what your fstops and shutter speed adjustments do you need to take a lot more photos until you do.

Can I purchase ads on this site?
Maybe. I am willing to advertise on my main page in theory. You will probably be over paying for it (Think around $5 per CPM) and it has to be for a product that makes sense. I am ultimately looking for someone to sponsor the site. I would just like one advertiser for the whole site that would allow me to do this site full time, while promoting their brand to the several thousand hip 18-25 year olds who read this site.

Can I purchase prints?
